Peter A. Cohen

is founder and Managing Partner of Ramius Capital Group, LLC (RCG), New York, an internationally active investment company. RCG is an investment partner of GermanCapital. In the 1980s, Peter Cohen was CEO and Chairman of the Board of Shearson Lehman Brothers, after which he became Vice Chairman and a Director of Republic New York Corporation, as well as Chairman of Republic New York Securities Corporation, which is now part of HSBC. In the US in particular, Cohen is renowned as an investor and consultant to numerous industrial corporations.
